Dumbarnie Golf Links

I have been fortunate enough to play here a few times now and always play some of my best golf. The course is beautiful with each hole making you feel like you have the course to yourself! It's currently only 3yrs old and this good...with continued growth of planted areas, I just can't wait to see it in another 3yrs! All the staff are fantastically kind and professional with exceptional service. Do not pass up a chance to eat there also...the food is gorgeous!

1 of the very best courses in Scotland. From the minute we arrived staff were on hand to look after you and answer any questions we had. Check in for the round was easy and we had a nice breakfast in the nice wee clubhouse before heading to the range which is a cracking grass range. Then off the the starter who gave us a lovely wee bag of goodies and a few tips with our wee dram of whisky. The course is world class as long or short as you want, the course it’s self is up there with the very top courses. Will defiantly be back.

Different gravy, this is without doubt the best course in Scotland, in fact I’m proud to say it’s the best course I’ve ever played, world wide, we, as a group of 4 golfers….8,9,7 & +1 handicappers we have played all over the world, the following day we actually played kingsbarns which was also magnificent, but we were all in agreement that this was the best course we have all played, it’s a dream come true and a pleasure to have set foot on a course like this as a player and not a spectator, it’s a young course, but if this course does not hold British opens in the near future then in my opinion golf has missed out. It’s simply sensational. As recently stated above we have played them all, st Andrews, kingsbarns, Loch Lomond, turnberry, royal Troon etc We have played them all, and loved them, and many many abroad, but this course is different gravy, it’s the new kid on the block and eventually it will take over, of that I have no doubt. The Staff, the club house, and from the moment we parked up and got our clubs out the car it was just sheer class, the gentleman we met at the front door was friendly and informative, made us feel at ease off the bat, a true gentleman, the clubhouse is stunning, the food and service was fantastic, all staff super professional and friendly, the professional in the golf shop also very welcoming, sometimes we’ve found you can run into professionals that make you feel like they don’t want you to be there, I’m sure you all know what I mean with this, but no not here. And to top it off, a little shot of whiskey on the first hole before tee off was a fantastic touch. Never had the likes of it anywhere, made us all feel right at home. I can go on and on and I probably have a bit, haha, but I can’t say anymore about this special place. I’ll say it again……..,,,It’s The best course I’ve ever played in my life. If you ever get the chance to play it, then grab it with both hands, you won’t be disappointed. Simply sensational, it was a day none of us will ever forget. This course in time will be called the great Dumbarnie. You heard it here first hahah. Lastly Thank you Dumbarnie, there’s got to be something special about having the best course you’ve ever played on, and it’s on your own home soil, really drives home why this country is the home of golf, now not that I needed it too, but this course makes me proud to be Scottish. Hopefully I’ll be lucky to come back one day amd do it all again.

Played here for the second time in April 2023, having visited in 2022. Wonderful experience, from the welcome at the front door, great practice faculties, the nip of whisky from the starter, fairways like a carpet, greens firm and fast, tremendous views and a variety of playable, challenging, fun holes. A cracking burger in the relaxed clubhouse afterwards reminiscing about missed putts and greens hit.
